Laura Munoz Faculty, Guest Artist
Laura Munoz is a dancer, yogini and teacher born and raised in Spain. Trained in Spain, Amsterdam and California, she has danced with choreographers Linda Sievers, Bonnie Hossack, Marisa Grande, Donald Fleming, and Gabriela Solini among others.
She founded and directed the improvisational Dance Theatre ensemble Pequeno Teatro de Danza, combining the performances of dancers, musicians and actors. She was part of the Dell' Arte International School of Physical Theater for 4 years, collaborating also with the company as an actor and as choreographer in the adaptation of Milton's Paradise Lost.
She was for the last 3 years core faculty at the Brown University/Trinity Rep Consortium, teaching dance, movement and yoga. She is also a member of the Physical Theatre/Dance ensemble Workhorse, based in Providence, Rhode Island, which recently an exciting version of Lorca's Blood Wedding.
Laura's passion lies in the daily discovery of embodied spirit. We welcome her back to our faculty for the 2009-10 school year. |
